The City and Guilds accredited IESOL test was developed to provide schools, colleges, universities, employers and governments with a reliable English test to examine the English level of their students, employees and citizens.
The test uses the latest artificial intelligence technology to accurately and objectively gauge candidates’ proficiency levels in four key skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking. It is suitable for all language learning levels from beginner to advanced and gives a score from A1-C1+ and above on the CEFR framework.
Using adaptive testing where the difficulty of exam questions is adjusted according to candidates’ responses, Linguaskill ensures tests are both reliable and secure. The test engine was developed by Cambridge Assessment English, the developer of the IELTS test and a world leader in English language assessments.
The IESOL test is accredited and certified by City and Guilds, which sets the global standard for skills and learning. Founded in the United Kingdom in 1878 and given the Royal Charter by Queen Victoria in 1900, City and Guilds now operates in more than 10,000 centers in over 80 countries. This leading authority in skills development delivers vocational education to two million plus people.
